LeAnn is a storyteller known for weaving fantastical worlds rich with detail, heart, and characters readers are drawn to journey alongside. She has been writing since childhood—often trading her allowance for books and dreaming up realms of magic and mystery. Though she holds a degree in Psychology, her true passion has always been storytelling. That passion was sparked into action after meeting one of her favorite authors, Kim Harrison—a moment that reignited her creative fire and gave rise to the world of Iryvalya.

A West Michigan native, LeAnn was raised just outside of Grand Rapids in the small town of Lowell and now lives nearby with her husband, daughter, their rescue cat Moon, and a lively flock of chickens. From a young age, she dreamed of creating her own fictional world—one filled with immersive landscapes, heartfelt character journeys, and a touch of magic. Heavily influenced by authors such as Laurell K. Hamilton, J.R.R. Tolkien, Suzanne Collins, and George R.R. Martin, she brings those dreams to life through richly imagined realms that invite readers to escape, reflect, and return for more.

Outside the pages of Iryvalya, LeAnn enjoys hiking, kayaking, traveling, and soaking in the energy of nature. She is also a dedicated advocate for CHD (Congenital Heart Defect) awareness—a cause close to her heart since her daughter was born with CCTGA.
